WHAT TO AVOID AFTER YOUR VISIT

AVOID THIS
Ā
AvoidĀ Retin-A, vitamin C serums, glycolic acid, exfoliating facial soaps and medical gradeĀ exfoliating enzymes/lotions/facialsĀ 2-3 weeks prior to your appointment.
No lasers, chemical peels, IPL or facialsĀ between your initial appointment and your touch up. Please discontinue for at least 3-4 weeks before & after your appointment.
Avoid placing your faceĀ directlyĀ into the showerĀ for the first week. However, you can gently wash your face throughout your healing process. It is important to keep all areas clean, free of bacteria until completely healed.
Avoid direct tanning or sunlightĀ while healing. Avoid tanning beds or sunless tanners while healing.
Avoid any form of salt.Ā For example,Ā Ā salt water pools, salty gulf water, sweating. For permanent lip blush only, you will want to avoid salty foods.
Avoid dirt.Ā For example, gardening.
Avoid high bacteria scenarios. For example, saunas, steam rooms, makeup products or touching the pigmented area with your hands.
Never use topical antibioticsĀ For example, neosporin.
For permanent lip blush only:Ā Avoid salty foods, extended wear lipsticks & plumping gloss while healing. Avoid teeth bleaching for at least 3 weeks. For day 1 & 2, avoid licking your lips, getting your lips wet and heavy kissing. Avoid rubbing your lips together. No picking.
For permanent eyeliner only:Ā Avoid eye creams, latisse & lash growth products. Absolutely no lash tinting, NO lash extensions, false eyelashes for 3 weeks following your appointment. Due to bacteria you want to avoid eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara until completely healed. Avoid rubbing your eyes.
For areola and scar camouflage only:Ā Avoid allowing the pigmented area to be in direct contact with the airĀ for longer than 15 minutes for the first 14 days. The area must be sealed Day 1-7, and then covered with guaze Day 7-14. See aftercare instructions below.

Day of your appointment:
SlightĀ swellingĀ or soreness.
You may seeĀ a clear lymphatic fluid for the first hour after your appointment. This is normal.
Fairer complexions may becomeĀ more pink or redĀ immediately after your appointment.
The color may beĀ 30% darker, and appear to have a warmer undertone than when healed. The color can darken the first few days due to oxidation.
The pigment will possibly be the lightest color between day 4-7. The color will thenĀ "bloom" over the next 28 days.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FACIAL PMU

CARING FOR YOUR FACIAL PMU REQUIRES A DRY HEALING PROCESS:

In summary, gently wash the area, keep clean, and apply Aquaphor on day 3.
Day 1: (Day of Service)Ā No lotions or oils to the area. Gently pat as needed. With a damp, clean, cotton pad every 30 minutes for the first hour after the service. The purpose is to remove clear lympathic fluid. Shower as usual; However, do not place your face directly into the shower.
Day 2:Ā Gently wash the pigmented area with mild soap & water using fingertips 1-2 times per day. Create or gentle Vanicream cleanser. The area may feel dry or chapped but refrain from lotion or oils to the area.
Day 3-6:Ā Repeat washing. You can now apply grapeseed oil 2x per day.Ā Ā Peeling or sloughing may occur. DO NOT PICK!
HOW TO CARE FOR YOURĀ MEDICALĀ PMU

CARING FOR YOUR FACIAL PMU REQUIRES AĀ WET HEALING PROCESS:

Day 1-7:Ā Ā
Keep the pigmented area completely sealed with vaseline + Tegaderm Film for 7 days.
1. Clean area withĀ alcohol.
2. Using a clean Q-tip, placeĀ VaselineĀ on the pigmented area.
3.Ā Completely sealĀ the area with Tegaderm Film. Changing the film as needed only.

Day 7-14:Ā Ā
After 7 days, apply vaseline morning and night while alsoĀ covering with guaze. Tegaderm is no longer required after 7 days; However, apply cling film if necessary. It is important to keep the area from rubbing directly against your clothing for 14 days.
NO long showers, swimming, saunas or sweating during this healing time.

INFECTIONS ARE EXTREMELY RARE;
