To take our 3D Areola class you will need to provide a Blood Born Pathogens Training (online), provide your vaccination records, and a driver's license.

Ultra Realistic 2D Areola Micropigmentation is our service for patients who have undergone breast surgery andhave a nipple grafted or have some dimension in their current nipple but would like some additional color and/or texture. Details can even be restored, including the Montgomery glands. Myectomy, breast augmentation surgery, and other traumatic events are examples of how color, or part of the nipple, might have been lost. A 3D Areola Tattoo is created on a completely flat surface.

3D Ultra Realistic Areola Micropigmentation creates the illusion of a 3-Dimensional areola and nipple on completely flat skin, for cases in which the nipple has been lost due to Myectomy, breast augmentation surgery, or another traumatic event for example.  This can eliminate the need for additional surgery like an areola graft.  The areola restorative art gives an ultra realistic look by reconstruction of details like Montgomery glands, wrinkles, and texture.  Please be clear that it does not create physical dimension, only the illusion of it.

You will need a facility license and body art licensed which will have specific requirements listed by state.   Typically, all you need is a certification from a reputable PMU training program. However, it is best to speak with your local health department to obtain the requirements for our location.  

Typically, 2D & 3D Areola appointments take 2-4 hours depending on the client history. 

Insurance can and SHOULD cover your Medical Art Appointment.  

We will provide you an insurance code and invoice that you can supply to your insurance and file for reimbursement. 

Yes! our 3D Areola Students are invited to attend and apprentice our annual Revive + Thrive Event which provides FREE Medical Art services for Breast Cancer Survivors. 

Being a Medical Artist is an amazing career if you love helping, restoring and supporting your clients after a long road with Breast Cancer or after traumatic surgeries or events.  It is an incredibly rewarding career that allows you to be a point of "closure" for your clients.  

Medical Art Services can be performed 6 months after the last surgery. 

Scars must wait 18 months to be treated.
